American Slang video!

The video for American Slang has just been posted on Pitchfork

I like the look of it but am yet to see the whole thing as I need to go to the post office!

yeah really like it. is that holly that walks past brian when he cracks up? love the mix of just oridinary day to day scenes along with the band & it's so well put together.

pitchfork keeps giving me a page load error too- totally annoying

Finally ... will "get ahold" of this after work and up this for all of you ...

Nah its not that dodgy high contrast stencil look they use in EVERY video.

is this the great New York video and is American Slang the great New York album? (discuss)

and yes, that looks like Hollie and it's great that they kept it it when Brian cracks up (again, reminds me of 'Woody, Joe'), though whether it goes with the lyrics at that point ("before they tear you apart") is another matter

I hope this gets lots of TV play, as it would sync nicely with the North American tour

I can't help but laugh at the fact that the random still-image from the video that is shown before the video starts playing is a hilarious shot of Benny smiling and laughing.

Pretty good video. I thought it could have used a few more shots of them playing, though. And I do like the black and white.

I love it, definitely best since 'Woody, Joe' I think the black and white really worked, just fells like an honest video

I think Benny was my favorite in the video.

I live how the idea for the video was very similar to the album.
