| Hey, I'm not sure if this tab is correct. At least for the intro part. You can see in this video that he is playing the intro much further up the neck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dw4YwJppiec
It looks like this tab is a bit closer to the mark but it only gives the intro. Musical retards like myself need the whole thing laid out for us. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/t/the_gaslight_anthem/even_cowgirls_get_the_blues_intro_tab.htm

| yeah, he's playing it up the neck, but he's on the third and fourth strings
this tab might be up an octave from how he's playing it live, but that's just what it sounded like to me on the album

| Jr's tab is correct - if you listen, same notes, just the one on the other site is played higher on the neck, and there is actually a mistake - it should go 9-12 on the b string, not 9-11.
And hi, all. Huge TGA fan here.

| Uh.. it's right as far as I can see. All those intro notes are just in the G blues scale.... (provided it's tuned down a half step). Maybe check your tuning? Are you having trouble reaching from one to the other? Just fret the G#(1st fret, 3rd string) with your first finger, then hop over to the F# (4th fret, 4th string) with your fourth finger (pinky). | |

| You could try this one off of Ultimate Guitar. I've played both and they both sound good to me.
