I think you're gonna be waitin' awhile, haha.
Dave did talk about the band recently. I forget exactly what he said but basically they wanted to write an album and not go on tour, and Dave didn't want to do that. Then when Dave was on the 2011 Revival Tour Brian, Dan, and Chuck each told him on separate occasions that he really had something with the solo thing and that because the band clearly didn't want to tour that kinda makes them dead weight (my words but that's basically what was implied). So while that may not change your mind in terms of liking or not liking his solo stuff (which is understandable) it's at least worth pointing out that he kinda had to go the direction he did. Anyway, thought you might be interested in knowing that story. I've got my fingers crossed for a reunion show or two down the road at this point.

Still a little bummed that when I saw them play with Gaslight in 2009 I didn't really know them well enough to really enjoy it and now they've stopped touring.
Haven't they continued to do one off shows every now and then?

Devour's finally released on Amazon tomorrow; Can't wait to finally have the album!
The Great Depression is a seriously amazing song... "If you wanted us safe why would you fuck with heads?" I've been wondering the same thing to my parents for a while now.

NTAJunkie Concert review: Dave Hause celebrates release of "Devour"
This past Tuesday, Hause marked the release of his latest record "Devour" with a special double-header at the First Unitarian Church's Side Chapel in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA. The shows served as a kickoff to a string of American record store appearances this week, followed by a tour across Europe that will see him back in the US come January. It was a hometown show for the Philly native, who realized he had grown up going to shows at that very Church, seeing many bands play there over the course of nearly 18 years.
With a mix of hardcore fans, personal friends and family in the house (including on-stage appearances by his brother Tim during the late show, who is also a capable singer), the show was extremely intimate and sold out within minutes of going on sale. Though the early set had technical problems with an amp borrowed from Hause's Father, the second set went off without a hitch.

I wanted to listen to The Bouncing Souls the other day but it didn't happen because before I could hook up my ipod to my car, my Devour CD started playing and I was completely incapable of shutting it off in favor of anything else. I'm addicted.

I got the album. Looking forward to listening to it! I was a little let down by Resolutions so hopefully this one catches me more.

Devour charted on Billboard's top 100! It was 81 week 1, now it's 82. But still, I'm amazed (and thrilled) it charted.

I love this so much more than I thought I would. always thought Dave was good but didn't ever blow me away. Father's Son is probably my favorite of all of songs. Benediction, Damascus & Before are up there too.

colmillionaire, wow I'm surprised you feel so strongly. :/ It's definitely very different from resolutions though so I can see how you'd like one and not the other.
