The '59 Sound (Japanese edition)

Today in the mail I finally received the Japanese edition of 'The '59 Sound', which includes 'Once Upon a Time' as track 13 (this was otherwise only available as an iTunes bonus track, as far as I know). It was released in Japan on 4 March 2009.

I will keep the CD sealed, but here are two scans (the bit with the Japanese text is an insert):

I feel like I am missing out on a lot of stuff (not just Gaslight) by not hopping on the Apple train =/

i think itunes is a great way of getting music fast. i use it mostly to find new things to listen to and download music videos in HQ. but then again, once i find something i really like, i go buy the CD or vinyl. someone told me a while back that we can live without apple and itunes and it won't be the end of the world, and i totally agree

If I'm honest, I would much rather these Japanese special editions were the same as other international releases.

I for one have not hopped on the Apple train; I have a Sony walkman and I like MP3s; not keen on Apple's format or on iTunes exclusives

I have an iPod and use iTunes, but it's more fun to track down foreign/ special editions of an album or buy the CD single.

It's not like you can't use MP3's in iTunes; the encoder is pretty weak, but no one is stopping you from using it. iTunes exclusives are pretty horrible though.

can someone post this version of once upon a time? or point me in the direction of it? i didn't know a studio version existed

yes and no, as pointed out before, as there is the studio version (iTunes and Japanese ed.) and the live version (Park Ave.)
