| It's basically half way through the year. What are your favorite albums that have come out so far?
Balance and Composure/Tigers Jaw -Split Gaslight Anthem - American Slang RVIVR - RVIVR Murder By Death - Good Morning, Magpie End of a Year - More Songs About Intercourse and Transportation
other highlights for me was the new Wonder Years record. Looking forward to the new Ceremony and End of a Year albums.

Honestly I just saw it on Wikipedia listed as 2010 Untitled Record. I don't have any other sources. But I sure hope it's true. Blue Scholars are amazing.

| House of Heroes has a new record this summer. Haven't actually listened to any of their earlier stuff but The End is Not the End deserved all the praise it got. Probably my second most anticipated album.
Still need to actually check out new releases. I hear the Leatherface album is pretty good. (Or at least, the review on ap said it was similar to T59S, The Loved One's The Bridge and HWM's Caution)

| Haha, I saw it described this way once:
Fleet Foxes and Blitzen Trapper are essentially the same band. The only difference is that Fleet Foxes have access to great weed, while Blitzen Trapper just drinks cheap beer by the river.
Great bands though! | |

| Of course Gaslight is on my list, and the Menzingers finally caught my ear this year. I was looking forward to albums from Sage Francis, Panacea, New Pornographers, Ted Leo, and Minus The Bear, but they were all slightly to fully disappointing. However, there's a band that made up for all of that. A new band on xoxo called River City Extension that just put out an extremely good album, The Unmistakable Man. The band is like a huge folk orchestra of violins, trumpets, banjos, piano, etc., and the lead singer's infectious voice spews out a whole bunch of stories and emotions. There's no doubt in my mind this is the year's best album from lyrics, melody, execution, instrumentation, and even production. You'd be doing yourself a favor by buying this album. Also I think a band called Wayfarer put out an album this year, but I don't have much to say about it besides it's good melodic punk. Lyrically, it's very self-reflective. Reminds me a lot of the Sidekicks. | |

| Of course AS is one of my favorites but I'm also in love with The National's High Violet and The Dead Weather's Sea of Cowards. | |
