The Rebel Yell: One of your upcoming projects that has had some buzz in the last year is a split record you’re going to do with Brian Fallon of the Gaslight Anthem. What’s the status on this project?
Chuck Ragan: We just did a European tour with Gaslight, and we had planned to try and record the record on that tour. We were all so busy on the tour and just running hard that it was tough to record [a full-length album]. We messed around with a little bit of stuff and started doing some songs together, but the two of us decided it would be better to hold off because we want to write more together. Brian will be doing the Revival Tour this fall over in the UK and Europe, so we’ll probably put something on the Revival Tour compilation or maybe do some seven-inches.
["We did a tour ..."? Chuck using the royal 'we'?]

| Well, that's a little bit of a letdown. I was really hoping for more to come out of it. I'll be glad to get whatever we get, though. | |

Totally agreed. I thought it was going to much more of a big deal than just a few seven inches...

Totally agreed. I thought it was going to much more of a big deal than just a few seven inches... Sounds like they initially intended it to be What's killing me the most is the fact that he left "US" out of the Revival Tour mention.

| new Chuck Ragan interview: http://www.punknews.org/article/41947?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter regarding working with Brian: - Quote :
- So Brian and I had done a split seven inch together (Gospel Songs) and we started talking about writing some songs together. It was kind of the plan to write a record on that tour, but all of us were so busy in our own way that we decided that we need to make time for it – sit down and really dig into it. So something will happen, but right now, there's nothing in the scope.
He's on the Revival Tour in the UK and Europe and most likely we'll do a Revival Tour comp, like we usually do, or we'll do some seven inches together. |
