| I apologize if this has been pointed out already, but in High Lonesome, they took a part of the song "Round Here" by the Counting Crows. I thought it was pretty cool.
Gaslight version:
"And Maria came from Nashville with a suitcase in her hand
Always kinda sorta wished I looked like Elvis"
Counting Crows version:
"Maria came from nashville with a suitcase in her hand
She said shed like to meet a boy who looks like elvis"

| Listening to counting crows the days and heard it too. I was wondering, so I searched it here somewhere and found this posts from 2008...Okay, so I'm a little bit late ;-)
There is a pretty good cover from Jupiter Jones at TV Noir where you can hear the lirycs very good, even for a german like me... | |

 tvnoir, jupiter jones, counting crows, ... i just HAD to give you a high five  and to talk about the topic: i didn't new the crows before gaslight and checked them out randomly. when i heard the maria came from nashvill thing in the crows sonng i was very surprised that gaslight had "stolen" that line. but i always love it when songs make a connection between two bands in a way like this | |

| I dont think he "stole it". He used to use other song lines in his songs. For those of us who grew up listening to these songs , it adds something to the song that I really cant explain. | |
