Bring It On (Audio)

I've now listened to this solid since it became available and I really hope that this will be the Late Show etc. song, as it packs so much more punch than American Slang, maybe because it's more upbeat, rather than because it is intrinsically better (AS has a brilliant bridge, for example).

It's very good. BUT, are we ever going to get something with he high tempo or crushing druums of a Sink or Swim song again??

Also, can't hear any of the British influences Brian was talking about in interviews a while back. If anything, I think this album (albeit based on two songs) are going to do little to stop the Bruce comparasions.

This is so fantastic. I mean technically it's the second time I've heard it (Wellmont and all) but hearing the studio version just amplified it by a lot, at least to me.

Any little worries I had left about how good this album will be have been replaced with anticipation.

I said the 'Late Show etc.'. I assume that they'll get some sort of TV spot again this time round.

This song is so good! I can't wait to have the record in hand in june, learn all the songs, then be ready to sing my heart out the london show!

Heard it a good 5+ times now, much bigger lasting appeal than AS already, of course the whole album won't be like this, there'll be something for everyone.

Weird, already listened to 1/5 of the album.

Both songs make me want to drop everything and be a musician

I feel ashamed to have said I put Gaslight in the back locker the last month or 2 in my music listening stakes...this has bought them right back into it. Won't listen to another band for 6 months now probably.

Hmm I'm still not convinced tbh. Listened to it a few times now and both it and American Slang haven't had me praying for more. Both have been good, just not as good as I had been expecting.

Slightly worried now that this album, or indeed The Gaslight Anthem won't hit the heights of Sink or Swim. Maybe the rest of the album will appeal to me more...
