| why hasn't this thread been made yet?
I know a lot of people on here are fans. They are my 2nd favorite band (1st being TGA) and they have some of the best and most consistent recorded output than any other band out there. I've also seen them 6-7 times (can't remember) and they attract the absolute weirdest crowd. My favorite record is The Moon & Antarctica (cannot wait for the repress this weekend). The best track being Life Like Weeds. Discuss!

| The Moon & Antarctica is a great album i really like the song i came as a rat. Ive always wanted to see them live but never got the chance although i could imagine the would indeed attract a strange bunch. Definitely an awesome band and the side project ugly casanova is good aswell | |

| I don't know I've tried a few times. I don't know what to start with. It seems like they try to be weird for the sake of being weird. They also never seem to tour with anyone I like. | |

| new record is dreadful (not counting king rat or i've got it all(most)). thank god they didn't play any songs from it when they were touring that record. the whale song was a solid track though.
they just announced their summer tourdates today. def gonna try and hit up brooklyn and montclair

| I really dig Modest Mouse. I magaged to see them at V festival in Sydney and see Modest Mouse followed by The Jesus and Mary Chain, Queens of the Stone Age and Smashing Pumpkins was an awesome day bonus was seeing Johnny Marr play with them. | |

| Love modest mouse, one of my favourite bands and not to be accused of blasphemy on a TGA forum but I prefer modest mouse. Spitting Venom is one of my favourite songs ever and The Moon & Antartica is an amazing album from beginning to end.
Ugly Casanova have some great songs but the album is a bit inconsistent in comparison to his other releases.

its a bummer he doesn't play with them any longer. Marr has said that Reading/Leeds festival might be the time for a get together as his other band the cribs are playing the same day. Not that im going.
