AS video ideas?

Ok, it's not as if they had asked for ideas for the 'American Slang' video, but I would love to see a black and white, minimal performance only video, which takes in the various places, settings and objects shown on the album cover. The 'I'd aCalled You Woody, Joe' video comes to mind here.

I'm fairly sure I saw an interview wiht Alex R where he said he'd only ever do a performance only video. Or one where the performance was the main basis for a video.

I hate it when bands try to act in videos it really grinds my gears , i hope they keep it performance based or at least sort of documentary style.

I don't really need a video, let's face it, most music videos suck. altough the 59 sound video is one of the very few good ones.

the 59 Sound one is the one I like the least, because it's been given a story of sorts, even if the band's part is performance only

i think most videos where bands "act" turn out pretty lame...but it doesn't have to be just performance. unless the video is done really well, shot in a unique way, its kinda boring to spend three minutes just watching a band perform a song. why not just listen to the record. not to mention, there are so many live videos on youtube nowadays, it makes a performance video even less necessary. although, a video like 59 sound could be good. some performance, but also some story that doesn't involve the actual band members acting.

I really like The 59 Sound "performance only" version that's on Youtube. The aesthetics of the whole thing are great.

I could really careless how they make the video, performance or acted, as long as it's not like Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends" that was a horrible video. I do love their Old White Lincoln video though, that was awesome.

No, the video needs to be like this: Click. Come on, it's perfect. You can totally see it happening. I want to see Brian's face next to Mt. Rushmore and rocking out improportional to WA monument.

yeh wake me up when september ends is a terrible video , i agree with steph , let actors do the acting , gaslight do the playing. Its not the same style but its annoying in recent Paramore videos , theres a little too much musician trying to act going on.

how about the gaslight anthem walking around new york city? that'd be pretty sweet

i like videos, if they are well done.. i think i'd like it if they were performing while there was another story going on, maybe with actors or something.. i like videos that tell stories, not so much when bands try to act
