Here's a guitar pro version I threw together. Check it out.

At first I was playing it with bar chords around the 5th fret. That is why it didn't sound right to me. The tone was off? I'm not sure what the right word is. They were the right chords but in the wrong location.

Your guitar pro sounds good. However, I think that when we see Brian play this live it will be tuned down a full step and something like this:

Seems like that has the right amount of "ringing" in the chords. Maybe I need to take some online lessons so I can actually talk using the right musical terms...

i have been trying to learn Road to rock n roll by joe strummer but the only tabs i can find are messy and i cant understand the chords.

Kind of hard to help you because the song isn't on youtube. I have streetcore, but that's it for the mescaleros for me.

The River by Bruce Springsteen. So I bought a Hohner Marine Band Harmonica C, but appearantly it's in G.

I think someone needs to go to a gaslight show with a high def camera and just never move it off Alex R while he plays. Then we can probably work out every note reasonably easy.

The solo is just improvisation in a pentatonic G minor scale.

It's all about practice! Do you know what the pentatonic scale looks like?

Ah... Yeah, need to work on that practice part (haha) and no, I don't know what the pentatonic scale looks like. Or maybe I do...I just don't remember it.

It's simple really. Like if you wanted to do G Minor pentatonic, it's like this:

e|-------------------------3-6-
B|---------------------3-6-----
G|----------------3-5----------
D|-----------3-5---------------
A|------3-5--------------------
E|-3-6-------------------------

If you want to play in a different key (like A Minor) then just start on A and follow the same pattern. And you don't have to play those notes just in that position, you can play them anywhere they're found on the fretboard.

But, Alex always seems to hang out around those frets. He's gotta have some wicked calluses! haha

What happened to this place? People used to post every song and work hard to tab out the toughest Gaslight leads out there. Now there's not even chords for the majority of the new album.
