First progression is intro/verses, second progression is chorus. This does not sound right to me.

| Or your tab is incorrect.
We will see what others think. I'll admit if I am wrong.

| At first I was playing it with bar chords around the 5th fret. That is why it didn't sound right to me. The tone was off? I'm not sure what the right word is. They were the right chords but in the wrong location.
Your guitar pro sounds good. However, I think that when we see Brian play this live it will be tuned down a full step and something like this:
D --3 3 --3 3 3 3 ------------------------------------ 3 3 -- 3 3 3 3 A --3 3 --3 3 3 3 ------------------------------------ 3 3 -- 3 3 3 3 F --0 0 --0 0 0 0 ------------------------------------ 0 0 --2 2 2 2 C --0 0 --2 2 2 2 ------------------------------------ 0 0 -- 0 0 0 0 B --2 2 --3 3 3 3 ------------------------------------ 2 2 --x x x x D --3 3 --x x x x -- ...Repeat a couple times -- 0 0 --x x x x
Seems like that has the right amount of "ringing" in the chords. Maybe I need to take some online lessons so I can actually talk using the right musical terms...

if someone could find the time to tab the song out with the lyrics i would forever in your debt Kind of hard to help you because the song isn't on youtube. I have streetcore, but that's it for the mescaleros for me. This tab seems pretty good to me: http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/j/joe_strummer_and_the_mescaleros/road_to_rock_and_roll_crd.htm I am basing it on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIrQi00SdFk Use chords like this (for the C chord): 3 3 0 2 3 x The em has the extra strings pressed down as well: 3 3 0 2 2 0 That enough for you?

| I think someone needs to go to a gaslight show with a high def camera and just never move it off Alex R while he plays. Then we can probably work out every note reasonably easy. | |

| Has anyone mentioned Biloxi Parish?? Dying to learn that one...along with Alex's solo. But it would probably take me a month AT LEAST to learn the solo. Haha
Oh...and I like it (the idea of videoing Alex). Haha

Verse A# - Gm Pre-chorus D - D# - F Gm - D# - A# - F Solo Gm - D - D# - F The solo is just improvisation in a pentatonic G minor scale.

| It's simple really. Like if you wanted to do G Minor pentatonic, it's like this:
e|-------------------------3-6- B|---------------------3-6----- G|----------------3-5---------- D|-----------3-5--------------- A|------3-5-------------------- E|-3-6-------------------------
If you want to play in a different key (like A Minor) then just start on A and follow the same pattern. And you don't have to play those notes just in that position, you can play them anywhere they're found on the fretboard.

| Sweet! Thanks man. Yeah, from a vid I watched it looks like Alex is down on the 12th or 15th fret or so. But, Alex always seems to hang out around those frets. He's gotta have some wicked calluses! haha | |

| What happened to this place? People used to post every song and work hard to tab out the toughest Gaslight leads out there. Now there's not even chords for the majority of the new album. | |
