On another thread a vinyl bootleg cropped up, the first I've heard of.

No, a bootleg is an unofficially (illegaly) released LP (or CD...), released by a bootlegging label.

The lady selling them on ebay is from the UK and she wants $15 for each copy plus five dolalrs shipping! She said that she was down to two red and one green. That was last week but she is trying to get more.

Ah I'm not too bothered about it if it's not official and the band isn't seeing any of the money I would have to pay to buy one.

Indeed, the band don't see any of the money and it breaks copyright law. On the other hand, bootlegging has a long history in rock music, and I bet most rock stars have a few. As this appears to be the first commercial TGA bootleg, and a vinyl, one at that, it's probably a must for collectors.

Yeah I don't mind bootlegs I'm not paying for, and quite enjoy them sometimes as an alternative to the CD versions of the tracks. However I think 'ripping off' the band in this sense isn't particulalry 'noble'.

Are the songs not affected by copyright to any extent, even though they're a live recording?

Here's my stance (which means shit). They weren't going to see this money because they were never going to release this. It isn't hurting them, in fact, it just adds to their legacy. The lady selling them is super sweet and shipped them fast. Buy this if you have a chance.

I'd really like one of these. Just saw them in Cinci last week and really sparked interest again big time and now I really wanna collect more of their stuff haha.

This comes with a folded paper inset in a PVC slip sleeve. The labels are plain white.

The title on the backcover says "Live at Area 4 Festival, Ludinghausen, Germany, 30 August 2008", although TGA actually played on 29th. I guess this adds to the novelty.
