| New album out Sept. 12 - sound awesome! They say it is a mix of MOP and AJFA ... my kind of Metallica! Any other metal-heads here? | |

| Usually I can seperate what a band does from how they sound... but the whole Napster stuff really pissed me off. | |

| I'm listening to the new album as I type this.
Not being a huge Metallica fan will always make it hard for their shit too impress me.
So far...it sounds like an old band trying to find their way(dejavu?).
It's not that it's bad...It's just that it's metallica and you'd expect much more.
Kinda progressive in places which is decent.

| I love the new album, after St Anger it couldn't get any worse! A great album - I love Rob's bass licks, and the solos do shred. | |

| I quite like Metallica, being a massive metal head and all. They're no Megadeth though. | |

| I love it, possibly one of my favourite albums of last year. Wasn't expecting it to be that good at all. I love Judas Kiss and All Nightmare Long, disapointed they didn't play them when I saw them. | |

| One of the best bands I saw at Reading Festival this year. Everyone was going on about Rage Against the machine who where quite frankly a bit disappointing for me. Whereas for Metallica me and my mate that used to listen to Metallica religiously when we where learning guitar. where blown away to finally hear them play all the classics live and they play so damn tight as well. Pyro was awesome to. Standing there head banging with my one of my best mates was awesome!
dont really listen to them much now though far more into my punky kinda stuff.

| They have a reputation to be spot on live - I had tickets to see them in the early 90's with GNR and Faith No More, but the gig got canceled! | |

No way?! Dude thanks for sharing! That's an important date. TGA will always be my love, my Metallica.... Metallica are my boys! Black album is my favorite album of all time, and has been for years. I love their new stuff, DM was phenomenal. I still bump St. Anger tho, not ashamed to admit it. If it's Metallica, I'll support it! Same as a handful of others including TGA. I think Lars as a major egotistical streak in him but I don't think he is deserving of all this hate!
