Willy DeVille, the frontman of Mink DeVille, passed away on 6 august 2009. Mink DeVille was a band that came up in the late seventies in the famous punk club CBGB. The band broke up in 1985, but Willy released solo albums until his dead. His sound has been likened to Bruce Springsteen (some critics say he is even better than Bruce) and the Jersey Shore Sound and comprises a blend of blues, cajun and latin music.
