I just came across these guys thanks to Pandora.com. I searched for Samiam and this is what it coughed up after a few tracks.

What a coincidence! I just listened to their album All In.
Great stuff. It sounds like the baby of Social Distortion and Leatherface while their are Lucero genes running through the family. New album soon!

okay guys, no more hiding these sick bands. that's one of the best albums i've heard in awhile. i like both the singers' voices, though the Awake For Days singer should get more tracks. they almost sound a bit like Social D on Sell Out and the track after that. but yeah, really solid album. definitely check these guys out if you haven't yet

any chance of uploading it torapidshare or one of those sites in a zip or rar file? I really want to listen to the album before buying it because i'll have to order it from overseas I think, because I won't pay for iTunes when you don't get anything physical. Cheers if thats cool Razz

Hopefully it's pretty similar to All In, maybe with a few more choruses with the Girl from Tsunami Bomb and The main singer, Tim Nothington is it? Im just going from memory.

i don't think it's anywhere near as good as All In. i haven't really given it my full attention yet though. just seems like All In has consistently stronger songs

That's interesting. I found All In to be very forgettable, even though I tried a bunch of times. Couldn't find much emotion in Jay's voice, except for the VERY beginning of the album, the intro to Where I Stand, which is a great way to start an album. however, after that, it just got boring and redundant for me.

The only thing that saved this band for me was their recent One man Army cover, All The Way. Definitely one of the stronger tracks on the BYO cover compilation.

The new album, in my opinion, is a huge departure into melody and versatility. I'm liking it so far, and I can't get enough of the song Stop Screaming.

You guys all sound like you've had Roads, Bridges and Ruins for months. When did everyone get it? And I think I still prefer All In at the moment. For some reason the sound quality on my download of Roads, Bridges and Ruins doesn't sound the best. I got it from Floridaisthereason. Did anyone else get it from there? Did anyone else find it the same as me? Should I download it from another source?

I think that is just the production of the record, it sounds a step down from All In for sure.

Thanks. Yeah i downloaded it again, the quality is a bit better, but hardly noticeable. The album has grown on me Smile

seen those guys in a very small location in my hometown this year's beginning.

they were really great and i even got to talk to them for a little while =) great band, great location, great evening. i guess that's the mix that makes concerts worth going the most^^
