Does the show start at 7 or 8? Ticketmaster says 8 but gaslight's site says 7.

ALWAYS call or look at the club website- that's your best bet.

it's doors at 7, show at 8

and apparently Heartless Bastards are not playing. the Gaslight site still says they are, but clevelandagora.com says Redwater Rojo has replaced them

Thanks,

I have class till 6:45, but I'm going to dash out early. Should get there around 7:30. (Have tickets already)

I'm listening to Good Old War right now and I cannot wait to see them. They are great!

Good Old War was great- they're really really good. Pela is really good too- they'll be with TGA over in MD/NJ. Think they're both really good, I'm excited to see the three together- three times!

Amazing show! They just keep getting better and better. Met the whole band after and talked for awhile. Just an all around amazing night.

Wow...best show I've ever seen. For all the shows I've been to, this was something else. These guys are really special.

Set:
Everything from '59 except "The Patient Ferris Wheel"
Wooderson
We Came To Dance
I'da Called You Woody, Joe
Angry Johnny
Blue Jeans

oh yeah, and frickin I'm On Fire

Highlights:
Meeting the band after the show
I'm On Fire
Being 2nd-3rd row for the whole show, including front row for the last chorus of Angry Johnny
Line from Tegan and Sara's "Nineteen" thrown into OWL
Huge turnout, packed venue
My voice somehow not giving out, even through the last song (Angry Johnny)
Hearing Brian say, "This is an old one" before playing Wooderson, as if it was more than 2 years old or something
Not a douchey crowd
White Castle after the show

Disappointments:
Getting grounded for showing up at 1 in the morning on a school night
My girl not being able to go
T-shirt selection (they brought all their worst shirts)
No Drive, 1930, Contender, or Navesink Banks
Not getting a chance to talk to Brian about The Blues, Mary or The Coffeehouse Sessions
Brian turning down the chick yelling out "Sweet Delta Blues!"
No Senor and the Queen EP for sale (only cd i don't have)

But still, incredible show. Never seen anything like it. The average age was probly mid- to late-20s, but there were people as old as 50 singing every word, and a few like 9 year old kids on the front row. Absolutely amazing show

Highlights for me:

Meeting the band after and talking about New Jersey and our hometowns. They were all like, we saw your Roxbury hoody and were like..."Roxbury, NJ....no way!"

Being right in first row, and I had to duck to avoid being smacked by Alex's bass a few times

The kid yelling out "I'm On Fire!" and Brian telling him that he should probably put that out

Brian played I'm On Fire

Even though he turned down Sweet Delta Blues, he did say that they mayyyy re-record it

Disappointments:

Not many, but I wish they did Navesink Banks and Patient Ferris Wheel, since they both are more "Jersey" oriented songs.

I'd love to hear Sweet Delta Blues in any form of Gaslight, that'd be awesome.

Also to add to the high lights...how about Good Old War.

They might have been the best supporting bands I have ever seen. That was the first time I have ever heard a crowd demand one more song from an opening band.

yeah, they let 'em play one more, and they played Tell Me

and dude, KSUpilot, i totally saw you in the crowd. i was the lanky kid with the buzz cut in the blue jeans and a white t-shirt. i was hangin out in front of Alex R about 3 rows back

and did i also see Max Stern there? i think i did

also, a big highlight that I forgot: Brian said they'd be coming back in the fall, likely with Chris Wollard (i assume he meant the Ship Thieves) and The Loved Ones

edit: God, he sang this so well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZGW9C9soTo

and here's OWL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTmpD1oV60w&feature=channel
he sings the Tegan and Sara line at 2:22

and also, I did not get grounded, so I'm pretty happy about that. it still woulda been worth going to the show even if I did get grounded

Yeah, I heard him say that they are going to be back in the Fall too. Thank god, cuz I can't go to the Asbury Show in May.

Haha...great video too. A kid behind me yelled out Hungry Heart!

We talked with Benny the longest. He was really down to earth. He was behind the metal gate at first, and then he hopped over and he's like "this barrier is way too awkward, we're not the Beatles!".
