Steve McQueen:
I could take my time and I can speed you up. I could pull you in, you can't get enough. Let's go slip-sliding in my veins.
Cause this life is only chains, It's nothing like the colors in my dreams. I just wanted to be Steve McQueen. And my horses of English racing green, You and me in British racing green.
And it could hold us down, They can break your pride. And if it gets too rough, well you just climb inside. Let's go slip-sliding in my veins.
Cause this life is only chains, It's nothing like the colors in my dreams. I just want to be Steve McQueen. With my horses of English racing green, You and me in British racing green.
And don't you know that you and I, we're never going home. And since we don't wanna be alone, Here we go. Sliding in my veins.
Cause this life is only chains, It's nothing like the colors in my dreams. And I just wanted to be Steve McQueen. With my horses of English racing green, You and me in British racing green.
Cause this life is always the same It's nothing like the colors in our dreams. We just wanted to be Steve McQueen. With our horses of English racing green, You and me in British racing green. You and me, Steve McQueen.

| Brilliant song! The song suggests that life hasn't turned out the way it should have and the best years are over. Dreams unfulfilled but it's still so romantic and heartfelt. Can't stop playing it. | |

| AnyOne figured out the chords yet. I'm away on business so haven't had chance to have a go at it yet. | |

| This song has to be in someway related to Steve Mcqueen Green by Ians band no? Is it the same song? Haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. | |

| They both separately decided to write a song with Steve McQueen in the title randomly and neither knew about the other doing it? What are the odds of that? | |

I have to admit I wasn't really feeling the live versions I'd seen on YouTube. I thought it was ok but nothing great. I'm really feeling the album version though. Really nicely done.

| Pretty good. Most of the songs released so far have given me a "that's nice" reaction, but haven't blown me away. I loved the big booming sound and production of A Wonderful Life and the last few, while all good songs have been in a more acoustic-y vibe. I'm most excited to hear the studio cuts of Rosemary, Red Lights, and Among Other Foolish Things | |

| At first he wanted to be Elvis, now Steve McQueen. Cool song, kind of bob dylan-vibesque but pretty much in a new jacket. Not as a comparison, I think I understand where he comes from.
Really looking forward on how everything will blend together in a full album. High hopes in how this will blend in with the other songs ...

| I expect this to be like Dustin Kensrue's Carry The Fire. A collection of songs from a lead singer on a project outside his band. I don't expect there to be a perfect flow per say, because songs can and were written at different times, but a great record as a whole.
Steve McQueen is probably isn't my favourite of the four tracks released, but I already love the diversity on the album.

It's not. Brian said so in the Q&A we had on this board. Also this song is about this car in bullitt: A 1968 Ford Mustang GT-390 Fastback in British Racing Green. Brian has always been into cars.

It's interesting to me how many reactions I've seen about the recorded version being better than the live version. To me it honestly sounds exactly the same. Actually with the exception of smoke, I feel all of these releases so far have been very very close to their live versions, which is a good thing, although I was kinda hoping I'd like this song better when the recording came out.

| The CHORUS remind me in a way of: - Quote :
- And all I seemed to find is that everything has chains.
And all this life just feels like a series of dreams. Selected poems and lovers I can't begin to name. And all in all I find that nothing stays the same.
