2014 new Gaslight Anthem album news (pre-details)

Well I think I'm going to call today's as nothing relevant was posted. Ian did post a daily wade on Instagram but it's just watching football on tv. And TGA tweeted out "#taconight" so in my opinion nothing really Nashville or album worthy to chronicle.

3/16/14 (Weekend)

Nothing relevant to the recording of the new record or Nashville related was posted.

I hope for the blusier tracks that may be on the album they decide to use a bit more distortion on the guitars. It'd probably muscle up the sound for songs like Too Much Blood which sounded a little naked with the clean tones.
All of the pedals on Instagram and the distorted bass tone Alex L was using in the video make it seem like they might be more into effects on this album

This sounds kind of like a calliope at the boardwalk. epic. heavy effects on the guitars, yay!

Someone in the comments of a facebook post said the album was gonna be released in may... Is that right??? I haven't heard of a release date yet and may seems a lot too soon, doesn't it?

That sounds way too soon. You never know, but I would say there's roughly a 1% chance of that being true. Late July or August seems much more likely.

I wish....but I wouldn't even count on the album being finished by May let alone released

Yep, agree that May is far too soon. It's not an exact science by any stretch, but it took over 3 months from them entering the studio for Handwritten to the day we first heard "45". So less than 3 months from entering the studio to album release would be crazy fast, especially for a major label.

That would be awesome!

I was hoping at least one or two might have stopped by Dave's show last night in Nashville, but he told the crowd they were "busy working". Cory Branan was in the audience, though. I didn't ask Dave about guest vocals, but that would be so great if it could happen.

Don't think anything will be posted but will update if it is.
