"45" in NHL 13

I apologize if this has already been posted somewhere, but I just downloaded the demo for NHL 13 and what do I hear during a stoppage in play? Gaslight!

They generally have the best soundtracks of any sports franchise. Not super-surprising, but still awesome to see.

Tracks ffrom the new record have been getting played frequently on sports networks. HCMM and Desire were on Mike and Mike in the Morning on ESPN

I think that 45 may also be the background song for the intro to Patriots radio broadcasts. It definitely was last week, and it seemed way too well produced and complex to be a one-off use thing, but i guess I'll see this week.

that's great! this will probably be the only way most of my friends will listen to Gaslight.

nhl games(or "chel") are excellent but in my opinion have some of the worst soundtracks of all the sports games, though most franchises leave me wanting in the music department. FIFA games are by far the best. the soundtrack this year looks like it has some good songs and some bad songs; i'll wait to listen to the songs i haven't heard before i pass judgement.

Same, shit caught me off guard in a "ultimate team" game. Off topic though, the back skating (figure skating) is going to be a huge problem online when the actual game drops.

Haven't gotten to try the demo yet, how's the game compared to 12?

lol. Thought that myself within 5 minutes of starting the demo when I went coast to coast with Drew Doughty... skating backwards.

I've played the demo for about a week now and the song hasn't played for me yet.

Sweet. Few of my favourite bands included in the game: Gaslight, Offspring and Arkells.

On this subject, My mate was at a Manchester City game and at half time they played 45 there too

So fucking stoked on this. I'm an avid NHL player, great to see TGA appear in a game.

On a hockey related note, I'm pushing for Howl to be the goal song for the Canucks. Funny Benny mentioned that, I think it would be the best way to celebrate a goal. The intro and chorus is really energetic and happy, and the last verse summarizes being a Vancouver fan perfectly:

It rains SO much here, we're a city by the sea, it's always haunted us because we've made it to the Stanley Cup Finals 3 times and no Cup, but the city belongs to us as proud fans. Beautiful.

Are you using the burst of speed by holding down the left thumb stick? Great way to get breakaways and 2-on-1s, but also valuable for defensive coverage too. Holding down left trigger (face the puck) and left thumb stick should keep you in position.

Slightly OT, but this may be a huge boost, since there is no NHL this year, more people are probably going to buy the game, and maybe they will hear 45, and buy the CD?

the lockout will send The Gaslight Anthem into the stratosphere.

Maybe, but from experience, I cannot stand every song after I've played a video game for a while.
