I'm still sad I probably won't get the chance to see the Gaslight Anthem at this years Area4 Festival. But I just found out that they are going to stream their performance on the web. I'm not completely sure whether it will work in other countries, but I think so..
Here's the link to the festival stream:
21.45 - Central European Sumer Time

Have fun!

I hope someone puts it online because I missed most of it. Brian's really going intense with these vocals. It's almost scary haha. I like it.

Loved hearing him add "Waiting For Somebody" by Paul Westerberg during "American Slang"... great performance, Brian's voice does sound a bit tired... Hope they get a day or two off soon!

I missed the first 20 minutes or something like that minutes of the show..I had problems to get the stream working on my computer. I'm glad they played Mae , Brian's vocals sounded a little uncertain of it's beginning..but it got much better the longer the song took.

There's definitely going to be a recording of that : either there in a few days... http://www.wdr.de/tv/rockpalast/videos/uebersicht.jsp or after they've faced their show on TV again - which I'm pretty sure they'll do

That's the song they were playing when I started watching. I was like WOAH.
@thomas whatever he was doing with his voice seemed to work for a lot of the songs but when they got to softer stuff like Mae it kinda sounded weird. I think he realized that and toned it down a bit which is why it got better as the song went on.
I like that his voice seems a bit different every time I hear him, it spices things up. I just hope he knows what he's doing and doesn't damage his voice or that he's not trying different things because he already damaged it. I want him to still sound great in 10+ years!

Yeah, hopefully he hasn't already smoked too much or so..sometimes he sounded really shiftless and strained. I'm excited to see the show again... just noticed they played 45, Howl, Keepsake, Mulholland Drive, Handwritten, Too Much Blood and Mae from the new album.
Thank you very much, dmcraig, for the audio ...

I bet it will be broadcasted on TV too. On the website they say it will be End of August / beginning of September. But there is no indication which band will be shown when ...

The backing vocals in the past few performances I've seen that have been streamed are awesome. Who knew Alex L. could sing?!

Now it's clear, they are going to show Gaslight's performance on TV in the night from Saturday 25th to Sunday 26th August, as the second band of that broadcast (the Donots are first band - they're cool too )
The whole thing begins at 1.00 am (Central European Summer Time) on WDR ..for the americans: that should be somewhere in the evening time for you ( http://www.weltzeit.de/zeitzonenkarte.php )
I don't know if you'll find any possibility to get a stream of the show . I'm going to record it and if everyting works fine, I'll try to upload it somewhere...

Starts in about an hour... I'm excited to see the entire show in good quality now
EDIT: Maybe that link http://www.wdr.de/mediathek/html/regional/livestream/index.xml works for you...

Gaslight are playing since a few seconds now. I'm not sure if the link is working outside of Germany ...otherwise maybe that one? http://www.metafilegenerator.de/WDR/WDR_FS/wm/webl/webl.asx
