I agree! All of the lyrics were really strong, but that verse is my favorite. Pretty much everybody can relate to those words. I know I can!

More amazing lyrics, Steve! I'm not ready to guess on the subject yet, I have to think about it some more. I really like the lines:

Haha, those lines reminded me of JimmyB's signature, but more poetic. I just figured it was a symptom of "Jimmybitis" that I would immediately think that! But wait a minute...was that intentional? Is JimmyB inspiring songs other than Harbortown's parodies???

It's a reply to the end of Stay Lucky!

That occured to me after reading it again, but I had already posted my last message. Now I see how twisted my mind has become! All of JimmyB's negativity has seeped into my brain and I apply things to him that aren't even remotely about him. I think this Jimmybitits is a terminal disease.

Anyway... I love that those lines are a response to the end of Stay Lucky! That's such a cool idea! Do you have any plans to make recordings of the songs you have posted?

Oh, I know there's more to life than JimmyB, BELIEVE ME! I'm telling you, his negativity has permeated so many of these threads, that's sometimes it spills over where it doesn't belong. I think I need to seek counseling now...

Good luck with your band! I think you are a talented songwriter and I hope we get to hear your songs sometime.

I think that's one of the great things about TGA. Brian is extremely creative in his ability to incorporate songs that inspire him into his own work. I think of it as his way of paying homage to his heroes. I bet he would be honored to hear that other songwriters feel that way about his music.

That's the thing - I reckon he would find it weird happening to him.

Like we're working on a tune at the moment - I loosely wrote it but two mates jammed it out.

They're like "there's something good in that song you wrote" and I'm like "I really just figured out the chords and the words" and they're like "dude it's your tune" and I'm like "nah!"
