| Any fans here? i just acquired their remastered back catalogue which is awesome , they were on of the first 'proper' bands i listened to after a horrific Nu-metal and rap phase of my youth , the first lyrics i really identified with and Johnny Marr is one of my favourite guitarists and i had the pleasure of having a composition masterclass from him.

| I enjoy them! I need to get more of their stuff, though. And Johnny Marr is one of my favorite guitar players, too! Very melodic, and his stuff just takes songs to a whole new level. |

| love them. esp. "asleep" and "there is a light that never goes out". one of my goals in life is to see Morrissey live before i (or he) die(s). he has one of the best voices i've ever heard. how/why did you have a composition masterclass with Johnny Marr? | |

| I absolutely love the smiths, they have always been one of my favorite bands, I am secretly hoping for a reunion  also love morrissey's albums, what do you all think of him? | |

| I seriously doubt a reunion , i love Morrissey's stuff too , his lyrics are so unique. The reason for the Johnny Marr thing was that he has a connection to my Uni in Salford and he lives nearby in Manchester , he comes in every so often to show people how to write better parts , and how to 'produce' a band and pick out the best aspects of a song etc we were told 'don't mention Morrissey ' before he came in. He is a really level headed interesting guy, i hope he comes in again before i leave. | |
