Glad it went well! So...uummmm, could you, like, uhhh... make me a sandwich???

| Well, uhm... Everyone gathered up by the harbor around 5 PM to behold the annual fireworks show. * Then we went to my place to eat crackers with brie cheese and drink some, uh, I don't know what you call them. It's like a big bowl with a light alcoholic beverage. Punch bowl? I made it according to my father's recipe and it turned out really good. He never really got a formal education but I swear to god, he could have been a bartender. He makes godlike drinks. Anyhow, after about an hour of chit chatting, we headed down to the restaurant where we had booked the table and had a great meal. I ate potatoes with chicken filet in cajun sauce, very tasty. After that we went back to my place to drink, dance and just hang out. My best friend gave me a large canvas print of this picture , it's us two throwing our hands up singing Social Distortion's Reach for the sky. Such an awesome gift, I love that girl. Anyway the party went on, everyone had a splendid time, then around 11 my Swedish friend from Santa Barbara called me from London and I got so excited! I hadn't heard her voice for weeks so that was really cool. Then at midnight everyone went out and drank champagne, and drunk as I was I sang a bunch of Gaslight Anthem songs really loudly with some of my friends. Then we went back inside again to continue the party. There was a lot of really cheesy UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ music but that only made it more fun. Although some songs were really good, like WE FOUND LOVE by RIHANNA!!!!! I played that one several times. Around 12.50, when everyone was dancing around, suddenly the music stopped and so I stopped dancing and saw this woman standing with her arms crossed, looking quite angry. And so she started being like "THIS IS AN OLD HOUSE AND WE ARE SITTING UPSTAIRS AND OUR FURNITURE IS SHAKING AND YADIYADIYADA", and so I said "Well, we did tell you that there's going to be a party and it's not even that late, what did you expect anyway? It's new year's, this one time I have a party and you're this upset?" and she started talking about some other party that I didn't even host. She went on about how it's disrespectful and how she doesn't really want to be a bitch, to which I calmly explained "Well, you kind of are being one right now", then she just said "TURN THE VOLUME DOWN" and we thought okay, jeeze, we'll turn the volume down. So we did, but the party went on. Funny thing is, at this point my bowtie was off, at least three buttons on my shirt were undone and I had a purple tie around my head (Pictures will be posted later during the day). I've never had to have a conversation that serious with a tie on my head. Around an hour and a half later some Securitas guy knocked on my door and was like "okay it's time to stop now", so we did. We still hung out for quite some time though, it was a lot of fun. Now I have my first hangover of my life. It's no fun. Eating ham slices straight out of the box kinda helps, delicious protein. Interesting trivia: * marks the spot where I had to stop typing to, how should I put this delicately, go to the bathroom to return all the alcohol. | |

| This sounds like a blast!! And yes, you are correct: punch bowl. I'm glad Rihanna made an appearance too!! And what party would be complete without a angry woman yelling about the noise? I look forward to the pictures, and congratulations on your first hangover. I went to work once super hungover and it's one of my worst memories. I "returned the alcohol" about an hour before I went in, and it was an absolutley dreadful day. |

| Oh yeah I had a ton of fun.
Jesus christ that sounds horrifying. I can't even imagine getting dressed like this. Honestly though I just finished that whole package of ham and now I moved on to a bag of mixed nuts and raisins. Not super healthy but I can feel it countering the hangover.

| NYE is usually the right I regret drinking too much. For once I don't do anything stupid either so that's a first. And my hangover isn't too bad so I might actually be able to survive the day. Things to look forward to: new series of Sherlock tonight. | |

| Not too much variety, John! Drink water!! Rehydrate! The last time I was hungover I couldn't eat for hours. And even when I could, the only thing I could eat was bread. God, I do not miss it. |

| That's what I gathered, but a real mother would use a nickname!
My mother uses the nickname to this day that she used when I was like 2 years old. She thinks it bothers me but I secretly really like it. It's endearing.

| oh, 600! Thanks for pointing that out! My childhood nickname that still remains is: Monkey. Or sometimes Monk. That's all he ever calls me. Once when I was a little kid I yelled at him and said he had to start calling me something different, so then he started calling me Bunny or Fishy instead.
What's yours?? |

Mine is NĂ¥nne. It's pronounced, like, noh-neh. Some kinda babyish form of Johnny, perhaps.
