My Email Sig Gets 78 Year Old Lady to Discover TGA

My email signature is the first few lines from We're Getting a Divorce, You Keep the Diner.

I am on a listserv with 5,000 bankruptcy attorneys across the USA.

A 78-year old lady sent me an email saying that she loved the "Magnificent Dreamer" quote in my sig and Googled TGA. She is now hooked and wants to see them or THC live. She bought 3 of their CDs at Best Buy right away.

TGA music transcends national boundaries and age . . .

Yes--Barb is what my mom would call a "neat lady." I have "talked" to her for a few years online and had no idea that she liked good music.

She and I are both legal aid lawyers who help poor people in Florida.

That's completely awesome! My mom is 55 (not old by any means) and I've gotten her into Gaslight, along with some other stuff. She, on the other hand, has gotten me into stuff like Springsteen, Leon Russel, and The Allman Brothers

My dad is 60, whenever I'm listening to music when he's in the room I can tell whether he likes it or not as he'll ask for the name of the band. I've never played TGA with him in the room so I do wonder what his reaction would be after reading this.

My mom acknowledges them as a talented group, and finds their music refreshing and doesn't mind listening to it if we are, more than alot of our other stuff

I wouldn't know if my Grandma would dig on Gaslight, she's about the same age. I have got my dad into some cool music, I would imagine that he would like Gaslight. Maybe my mom too.

I don't think I've really ever played Gaslight for my wife. I know she is aware of them. Which is funny, because when her and I first started talking, she got me into a lot of different bands...
