help needed with the DS Audio Rips Master List

thats not good !

I never used it to download released stuff, only bootlegs of various bands. Its something that Im going to miss I gotta say. A sad day...

I wonder how long before the torrent sites go....if it pushes bootlegs underground again it will only mean there are people gonna make mega money from ripping off fans again like the old vinyl bootlegs.
Downloading released stuff is very naughty and I can understand bands getting really hacked off by it, why dont all bands release recordings from there shows , Pearl Jam , The Who , Kiss to name but 3 have all done it . People will always want live recordings , souvineers from shows they attended etc, If you look at Bruce , I would say just about every show he has every played is out on a cd or dvd , stopping it now must be like closing the barn door after the horse has bolted.
Nobody is hurt by downloading live bootlegs, the bands dont lose anything because its only die hard fans who want the sometimes dreadfull recordings , the only time there is a problem is when someone sells them for profitt.

Well SOPA got delayed/scrapped today, so we're safe at least for a while on that end. But there are hundreds of other hosting sites out there, so i think at least for now everything's good.

but as far as the Master List goes, it's a pain uploading all that stuff again

It just means those who uploaded their files to megaupload will have to do it all over again on other hosting sites. It often takes a while and will they bother doing it this time... probably not. I love bootleg sharing and I think due to DIMEs stringent rules that hopefully music torrents will survive on there.

i wouldn't mind doing it if i had the files, which i don't. cause my computer crashed a few months ago and lost everything, and i just didn't feel like downloading all the bootlegs again..

but since we don't know if other hosting sites will also be shut down in the future, i guess uploading all those bootlegs again might just be a waste of time. probably torrents or some other method would be better in my opinion.

I can also upload the stuff I have at home once again. I won't make it before mid Feb though since I'm wuite busy at work right now ....

What would be a useful alternative for megaupload?

Mediafire has always been better than Megaupload anyways.

alright i've realized i've got more bootlegs than i thought i had xD. i'm gonna be uploading them to mediafire today since it's raining and i've got nothing better to do. i'll post a list of the ones i have later

turns out i did a backup of all my files. i'm uploading stuff as we speak, i'll post a list of the bootlegs i don't have once i'm done so hopefully someone can upload the missing ones

could some of you upload any of those bootlegs to mediafire?

Daire is taking care of the Boston 2008 and the 9:30 Club 2009.

'DIMEADOZEN' means that those bootlegs may still be avalaible on dimeadozen.org, but it would be awesome if someone uploaded them to mediafire as well.

right, 1 terrabyte costs money, we got a 2,5 GB limit on dropbox, i'll search for something else instead!

I check back which of the missing bootlegs I have once I'm back on the computer and upload them on the weekend.

But damn, I never really liked mediafire ....

rapidshare apparently is faster, try that one!
