EDIT2: and there's a new acoustic version of 'She Loves You' on the Jools webpage at http://www.bbc.co.uk/later/
Thanks for the heads up on this. It was "not available in my area" but through the wonders of the internet, I was able to watch and download it. Not sure if the BBC/Jools Holland go after Youtube videos but I've uploaded it there. I can also upload the original FLV if there's interest.

Thanks for this!

Thanks, Bea.
I thought this was so much better than the live performance. Both 'American Slang' and 'The Spirit of Jazz' sounded and looked really good. The sound mix really brought out Alex's guitar, especially on 'Spirit', and I love listening to him.

Nice performance, background vocals remain an issue though for me.

Friday nights show is filmed early on tues evening. They then wait to do the 'live' tv performance. Its up to the band if they want to record a song then also play it live. Some bands tend to do this, esspecially if heavily promoting.

i have said time and again alex r's background vocals are atrocious. probably the band's weakest spot. although i suppose it would be unfair if he was blessed with the ability to be so good at guitar AND have a great voice.
