How many records have they sold?

Does anybody know how many records tga has sold?

I am guessing 7... maybe 8...

I actually have no idea... and I know records can go "Gold" and "Platinum" but are there other ratings?

diamond is 10X platinum I believe.

Those ratings are individual for every country and the number of albums you have to sell are different as well

for an album in the UK to go silver it needs to have sold at least 60,000 copies

i dont think that platinum thing on ebay is authentic. i'd find it hard to believe that they'd have sold 300,000 records in the USA, much less the UK...

Our boys are on the way, but I wouldn't say they've arrived just yet....

it's not claiming to be 'authentic' (as in 'award for album going platinum'); it's just a 'presentation' to hang on your wall and impress your impressionable friends

My guess is '59 sond might have sold somewhere in the neighborhood of 150,000 copies to date. Sink Or swim is probably less than 75,000.

I know that's what the article says but it's wrong. 43k in a week is top 10 type sales. I'd assume that number was albums sold in the US at print time or something. According to a quick Google search, the real first week total was 7447 copies.

43,000 records would be beyond belief.
Gaslight could sell out Arena shows.
Though 43,000 seems okay depending on when that magazine was printed.
'59 Sound did get a little surge of popularity because of the ubiquity of the title track on music video stations.
