Hi from Scotland, the only Scot I have seen on here so far. I got into TGA around a month or two before the '59 Sound came out. Other bands i like are The Clash,Bouncing Souls, Hot Water Music, Polar Bear Club and Descendents to name a few. I've seen TGA once at T in the Park, and was gonna see them last December but had to skip due to a funeral Sad .

it's funny how language evolves so that words mean the opposite of what they do in other contexts; I always cringe when DVD advisory labels state 'mild language', meaning quite the opposite

actually you are not the only jock (i guess it was jock?) here, and there are tons of british around here.

so welcome around and have fun discussing with us.

"Everyone on here seems to like those bands!" i do know the clash, hot water music and the bouncing souls and like some of their stuff, but they are not one of my favourites. and i do not know the other two bands, so maybe i am quite an exception here.

Polar Bear Club is pretty good and are kinda newer and the descendents are a seminal pop punk band definitely worth checking out
