fan art

I want to say it was a quick doodle, but I'm still hopelessly bad at digital drawing, so between pencilling and inking it on paper, scanning it about a thousand times, and taking forever coloring on the computer, it was a couple hours. Bleh. Benny kind of looks like Benny though, so I declare this a success until I draw them again later.



If anyone else doesn't think it's creepy to draw people in bands, this could totally be a fan art thread too.

edit: now that it's just been brought to my attention: THAT IS NOT SCENE HAIR ON BRIAN. God. I fail at drawing hair.

It looks good for what it is, and you deserve credit for spending a lot of time on it. I am just no way a fan of the creepy anime-type cartoon versions of people. I don't like it at all, but I respect it.

That was a joke. Not a good one. Whatever. I just like drawing so I figure I might as well draw people whose music inspires me.

I deleted the penciled version, I might dig through the recycle bin on my computer for it later if I'm bored.

bad ass... that is a really good job. You should put a lot of scribbles on Brian's arms since he does have full sleeves (including the back of his hands)

I think it looks kinda cool without the tattoos, shows them as really young and poor, with Brian holding his hat out for a few $$.

P.S. that is the best thing I have ever seen in my life. And I once saw a drawing of a unicorn battling a dolphin. So, you know, I've seen some pretty awesome stuff.

i don't considering myself an artist really, but i do enjoy Photoshop and Illustrator. hah. i guess my Gaslight fan art would be the "album covers" i do for the shows i make recordings of. i use the photos i took at each show for these. i've done 2 for Gaslight, so far.








i hope i get to do many more.

oh yeah, i guess you would call that second one a "teaser" because i haven't posted the link to download that show yet. i'm waiting for the files to upload.

Man, if you still have the .PSD for this one could you up it without the writing on it but still have the effects? It's a really cool shot. Only if it's easy for you to do, it'sn o problem if you can't.
